The annual Gala Concert is a highlight of the music departments year. Featuring all college ensembles, the concert includes instrumental music students from Year 7-12 playing a range of styles.

Students performing do not require to purchase a ticket. Tickets cost $15 per person, get in fast as tickets sell quickly (no tickets will be sold at the door).
PLEASE NOTE: In 2026 the Gala Concert will be held over 2 concerts. Each concert will be separately ticketed, and parents wanting to attend both will require a ticket to each.
Date: Thursday, 8th October 2026
Time: (Concert 1 _5pm – 6.30pm) and (Concert 2_7.30pm – 9pm)
Venue: Unicorn Theatre, MWSC Senior Campus
CONCERT 1 (5pm – 6.30pm) will feature the following ensembles: Junior Strings, Phoenix Strings, Presto Strings, Chamber Strings, Junior Guitar Ensemble, Intermediate Guitar Ensemble, Senior Guitar Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Junior Choir, Senior Choir
CONCERT 2 (7.30pm – 9pm) will feature the following ensembles: Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Progressive Wind Ensemble , Junior Wind Symphony, Improvisation group, Jazz Combo, Jazz Band, Stage Band, Rock Band
Light refreshments will be available in the Unicorn Theatre on the evening.
IMPORTANT: Each family is only permitted to purchase 2 tickets per concert. This is to ensure that all families have the opportunity to see their child perform. Please note: if further tickets are purchased without prior approval, these tickets may be cancelled and money refunded.
Due to the high demand for tickets – If you are unable to attend, please inform the school as soon as possible (email Juliana at sju@mwsc.vic.edu.au) for a refund. Tickets will then be released and made available for purchase. No refunds will be processed after the event.
All proceeds raised will go towards 2027 Vietnam Music Tour.
