At Mount Waverley Secondary College we are committed to developing our student’s career awareness and individual management assisting with vocational guidance, support and career education.

A comprehensive careers program is delivered to all students between Years 9 and 12 including careers counselling throughout the year, vocational testing, guest speakers and careers newsletters.

The careers room is a well-resourced facility open to all students. A wide range of resources include University and TAFE booklets, brochures, pamphlets, and other materials available for student use. The college has a team of career practitioners who provide many services to students.

Year 9

My Career Insights will help students discover, develop, and drive their career planning. It is a unique chance for students to learn more about their strengths and abilities while exploring potential career options. Students will be given the opportunity to complete a series of questionnaires and quizzes accessed through the Morrisby website.

Year 10

Work experience is a valuable opportunity for Year 10 students to gain insight into the world of work and understand the expectations of the workplace.  It is an excellent opportunity for students to develop skills, knowledge, and experience that will benefit them in their future careers.        Work Experience Program – 24-28 June 2024

Year 11

All Year 11 students will attend the VCE and Careers Expo, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday, 2 May 2024.
