Spotlight on Parenting Books: Practical and Inspiring Reads
Parenting is full of highs, lows, and everything in between. Sometimes, hearing from others or picking up a new idea can make all the difference. While there’s no one right way to raise a child, the right book can offer helpful advice, fresh perspectives, or simply the reassurance that you’re not alone.
At Mount Waverley Secondary College, we believe that supporting parents goes hand-in-hand with supporting students. This month, we’re highlighting a selection of parenting books that offer a mix of practical tools and thoughtful insights for families.

This popular read helps parents understand how children’s brains develop and how to respond to big emotions and behaviours in a supportive way.
Raising Boys & Raising Girls – Steve Biddulph
