As part of the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority’s (MTIA) Rail Careers program – led by the Rail Academy – 16 middle school students visited the Newport facility on 13 August. The initiative proactively engages young people to highlight dynamic career pathways across rail, light rail, OHS and construction.

During their visit, students stepped into the world of transport technology through hands-on activities in transport coding, signalling, using tools, and infrastructure maintenance.
