On Wednesday 22 April, the Sustainability Team planted 175 trees around the school. This process involved collaboration within small groups where the students and teachers worked during lunchtime and a bit of period 5 and 6.
It was an exciting and new endeavour for some, learning to navigate new gardening tools, yet resulted in a sense of accomplishment for all. The planting of the trees spread from behind the futsal courts to the empty areas on the oval and the following Friday, some students gathered again to provide water to the plants.
The sustainability team can’t wait to see the growth of these new trees!
