On Wednesday 29 April, a group of Year 10/11 girls from Mount Waverley Secondary College and Glen Waverley Secondary College attended the Monash Tech School Supersport Industry Immersion where they got the opportunity to immerse themselves in the field of data analytics within sport.
The girls participated in a fitness session of footy, where they wore Catapults – a GPS system to track their data and then later in the day, analysed it. The girls also got an opportunity to participate in a Shark Tank, where their creativity was put to use, innovating new technologies that could be implemented in the sports industry.
It was a great experience and I would recommend it to all!
