On Wednesday 24 May, Mr Simon Northeast, a lawyer from Geelong came to visit our school. He introduced procedures in legal proceedings and the processes of law. We were given a brief summary of the different fields and specialisations of law. He discussed his experiences as a lawyer and “patterns noticed among teens in Geelong,” covering experiences in Legal aid and private law firms.
The overall experiences gave the Legal Studies students an insight to the field of criminal law, and what it takes to become a defence attorney.
