Exams on the Senior Campus

This week the senior campus has been a very busy place. Students in Years 10 and 11 have been completing exams and teachers have been marking them and writing reports.  Year 9 exams will run next week.

The VCAA exams have also been running and finished last week. Thanks to all the subschool teams, exam supervisors, support staff and teachers who have been involved in all of the exams. It is always a huge undertaking made even more complex with the processes put in place due to COVID19 measures to keep students and staff safe.

Year 11 and Year 12 Formal

With the easing of some restrictions and a change in the health advice, the Year 11 and 12 Formals are able to take place. Thanks for the subschool and Education Support Staff and Business Managers who have worked to get these events going. Parents and students need to take note of the payment deadlines and health requirements of the venues.

Early Commencement Program

Students in Years 7 to 11 start their 2022 classes in the week beginning 6 December. This program provides an opportunity for students to meet their teachers, start work for next year and, in the case of the Year 8 students, get used to the senior campus. All year levels participated in a range of programs as well as classes. A special thank you to the staff and in particular the subschool team, faculty heads and Mr Scott Smith (timetable) for all of their hard work.

Staff Expertise

A number of our teachers have been involved in assessing the written and performance exams for VCAA during term four. This work is important and it is a recognition of the expertise and experience of the teachers at the college. Staff have also been involved in subject association conferences and some have presented sessions for their peers.

VCE Students – 2022 Central Australia Trip

The college will be offering the Central Australia trip to students in Years 11 & 12 (2022). The trip is planned for the end of term three and the first week of the break. More information will be available and an information evening will run in term one 2022.

Semester Two Reports

Teachers have been completing reports and feedback for their students.  Year 7 to Year 11 students and parents/carers will receive an end of semester report via Compass on the Tuesday 14 December. The reports are a culmination of the written feedback from their teachers with additional information on work behaviours and, for Year 7 to 10 students, Victorian Curriculum levels.
