AFL – League Best and Fairest Awards
Amelia (Year 10) and myself were lucky enough to be invited to the top 5 girls football league best and fairest awards night. This works by the umpires voting on the best (and fairest) players each game. By the end of the season they count the votes and invite the top 5 players to an awards night. It is an honour to say we both finished first as the best and fairest players. Amelia ending up on 24 votes in the Under 18 group and myself on 22 votes in the Under 14 group. It was a privilege to both win our league best and fairest! ~ by Mia (Year 8)
