It has been a great start to 2018 classes over the past three weeks for our new Year 9 and 10 students who have commenced learning in their classes. This has been valuable time for students to meet the majority of their teachers and transition to their new year level.
Student Goals in 2018
On Friday 8 December we held a Student Peer Leader Training Session for a large number of 2018 Year 12 students and 2017 Year 12 students who signed up to undertake this role next year. Thank you to Mr Matt Sheehan, Ms Hayley Dureau, Miss Emma Stevenson, Ms Gokce Delioglu, Ms Claire McCormack and Ms Maureen Theobald for their work in leading this session. These Student Peer Mentors will be working with two/three other 2018 Year 12 students and a staff member, as students form a mixed group across the college (Year 7 and 8 together, Year 9, 10 and 11 together) to set and reflect on their goals via Compass throughout 2018.
Thank you for your support of our college community in 2017. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday period and look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2018.
Mr Andrew Batchelor
