Junior Campus Principal’s Update

Welcome Back to Term 3

Despite the cold start to the term students on the Junior Campus have been keen to catch up with each other and settle back into study for Term 3. This is an important time of the year with students having received their Semester One report which highlighted areas for improvement across all subjects. Term 3 allows students to put in place new plans and strategies to help them achieve their best in the second part of the year. For some students who have not maximised the opportunities provided in Semester One, further support is being provided through progress interviews with our sub school team. These interviews are designed to provide further support to students in developing strategies and plans for their learning.

Maintenance and IT Works over the Term Break

While students were on their term break teams of people were working hard around the college. Thank you to our maintenance and IT teams for their hard work across the break.

On the Senior Campus the maintenance team supported the reroofing of the theatrette, a new storage room for instruments in the Music Centre, repainting and recarpeting of the Administration area, work to fix the pathway next to the hall and the installation of a vertical garden on the Middle School building.

On the Junior Campus a new music studio was finalised, as well as line marking of courts and car parks and the sealing of cracks in bitumen across the campus. The PE storeroom was also reconfigured and the large roller door removed that was no longer needed.

The IT team undertook several upgrades, security upgrades, firewall software updates, installation and maintenance of classroom data projectors and reimaging classroom computers encompassing both campuses.
